Apres the Day l A Perfect Day in Yountville
April 24, 2012
It’s a Saturday at 4:45PM in Napa. You and your friends are finishing a tasting at one of many legendary wineries in the Valley when you realize…TIMES UP! In 15 minutes, most wine tasting venues will close their doors. However, at Ma(i)sonry, the evening is just getting started. Did you know you could visit us and taste until 9PM during the spring and summer seasons?
Ma(i)sonry welcomes you and your guests to join us and continue the celebration into the evening hours. Guests can “Après the Day” with a special tasting of our featured Vintner Partner of the Month and receive a complimentary cheese plate for two. Additionally, Friday and Saturday hours are now extended until 9PM to welcome guests who want to taste after dinner or enjoy a nightcap. Ma(i)sonry offers a selection of flights from its 18 Vintner Partners, and even has a “dessert flight” for those looking for something sweet to end a perfect day.

In celebration of the extended hours, we have compiled recommendations for “A Perfect Day in Yountville.”
9:00AM – Bardessono Hotel and Spa
Roll out of bed at one of the most unique, green hotels in Napa Valley…
10:00AM – Bouchon Bakery
Yountville, the mecca of Thomas Keller-dom, boasts three, world-famous, Thomas Keller restaurants…The French Laundry, Ad Hoc, and Bouchon. At Bouchon Bakery, try the almond croissant and a single latte to start your day off right…
11:00AM – Cliff Lede Vineyards
Cliff Lede is committed to making first-class, Bordeaux style wines. Stopping by for a tasting does not require advanced notice, but we suggest making reservations to enjoy “The Estate Tasting” which includes a guided tour of the Cliff Lede vineyards and winery, and a grand tasting of Cliff Lede Wines paired with seasonal canapés.
1:00PM- “Tacos Garcia” Taco Truck
Tacos Garcia Taco Truck is the perfect quick lunch for wine tasters on the go. Guests can find the meal-mobile parked in the lot of Panchas of Yountville from 11AM-11PM, Monday-Saturday. The Pastor (spicy pork) Alambre tacos are to die for, and a steal at only $3 each!
2:00PM – The Culinary Garden of The French Laundry
Take a stroll through the French Laundry’s culinary garden and admire some of the freshly grown ingredients that go into the nine-course tasting menus at what has been referred to by many as the “best restaurant in the world.”
3:00PM- The Coffee Caboose
By this time, you are probably needing a little “pick me up.” The Coffee Caboose, located in the tail end of the Napa Valley Railway Inn, is a delightful little coffee stop and a local favorite. Serving San Francisco’s finest, Ritual Coffee, it is the perfect spot for a quick cappuccino and a tasty crepe.
5:00PM – Bottega
Chef Michael Chiarello’s Bottega serves up world-class Italian cuisine in a rustic, cozy atmosphere…and the best part? Bottega has a full bar for patrons who are ready to make the switch from wine to martini…
8:00PM – Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley
After dinner, stop by Ma(i)sonry and indulge in one last wine tasting! Cozy up next to the fire pit and drink dessert! Sample the “Something Sweet” dessert flight, which includes the 2010 Uvaggio Moscato Dolce and the 2009 R.A. Harrison Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.
9:00PM – Pancha’s
What better way to round out your perfect day in Yountville than with a stop at a locals-favorite dive bar? Walk to Pancha’s, from Ma(i)sonry, and enjoy a cold brew and a good game of pool with many of the hospitality and service industry staff of Yountville.
